Our Story

Barley Gastrobar was born from a love of food, community, and Narberth’s heritage. Chef Rhys Thomas and his partner Jodie Dickinson took over the historic building once known as The Barley Mow pub, keeping its story alive with a modern twist.

With over a decade in the catering industry, Rhys has always dreamed of running his own kitchen. Together, he and Jodie have created a space where locals and visitors can enjoy fresh breakfasts, flavourful lunches, and relaxed evening dining — from sharing small plates to hearty grills and seafood specials.

Since opening, the support from Narberth has been overwhelming. As Rhys and Jodie put it:
